Paladin 1.0 epic checklist

PALADIN TEMPLATE

1.) Obtaining Soulfire
[ ] Hilt of Soulfire - Drops off of Xicotl (42ish Shadow Knight) Mistmoore Castle (spawns in the Spa Room) 8 hour spawn, 1 group, hilt always drops
[ ] Brilliant Sword of Faith - Obtained by Killing Sir Lucan De'lere in west Freeport and looting his testimony which is then turned in to Valeron in the Pally guild in North Freeport. Lucan is a 2 - 3 group kill, and killing him carries with it a KoS title for all of east and west freeport
[ ] Testimony of Truth - This is your own Testimony of Truth which is obtained by doing the Test of Truth Quest in North freeport (given by NPC behind the pally guild).
[ ] Letter to Brother Hayle - Starts in east freeport at the Seafarer's bar. Give Tykar Renlin 4 drom's champagne's (sold behind bar) and he will give you a blanket. Then make or buy edible goo and a bog juice. Take these 3 items to the freeport arena and turn them in to the first prisoner on your left when you turn towards the cells. he will reward you will a HH key. Take this key to high hold keep and give it to the banker (you need to be behind the counter when you do this) and she will give you the Letter to Brother Hayle. This letter is droppable, so if your faction is already ruined, you can do it with a level 5+ alt.
Finish - With Amiable faction to the Qeynos Paladin/Cleric Guild go to Splitpaw with a pal that can evac and invis, head to the jail cells in the back where Brother Hayle resides. Give to him first the note from the banker in HH and he will give you another note. Then turn this note, the hilt, your testimony of truth, and the Brilliant Sword of Faith and you are rewarded with the Soulfire

2.) Ghoulbane
[ ] Kill shin lord in upper Guk, he drops Ghoulbane (rarely). 1 group, if level 50+ 2 people can camp this easily.

3.) Head and Robe of Miragul
[ ] Burnt Book
- Get in on a Naggy raid (Severilous and Talendor also Drop this book) and pray to win a roll.
[ ] Book of Frost -
- Get in on a Vox raid and once again pray to win a roll (Faydedar and Gorenaire also drop this book)
[ ] Turn these two books in to Rysva To'Biath in the Blind fish tavern of Neriak along with 1000p to get the book of scale.
[ ] Take the book of Scale to the Oracle of K'arnon in the Ocean of Tears to receive Miragul's Philactry.
[ ] Take Miragul's philactry and also about 5-6 groups and head to Everfrost and swim to the underwater caves. Here the loathing lich needs to be charmed, and once done you give him the Philactry to spawn the true Lich, Miragul (53 necro). Once dead, chop off his head and strip off his robe, and head to the PoS.

4.) Fiery Avenger -
[ ] Talk to Dirkog Steelhand in the quest cave in the Plane of Sky. Giving him 500p causes Inte Akera to spawn on the fourth island. You need to do the following to obtain the Fiery Avenger.
- First hand Inte Akera the Soulfire to obtain the Blessing of Nobility.
- Next hand him the Ghoulbane to obtain the blessing of Sacrifice.
- Then turn in the two blessings and the head and Robe of Miragul to obtain the Fiery Avenger

5.) Gleaming Breastplate - Kiloxquis, Gauvain
[ ] Tainted Darkmetal Breastplate drops off of the Scorn banshee in hate.
[ ] Hand this and the Pure Crystal in to Reklon Gnallen in Erudin to receive the Gleaming Breastplate. (Pure Crystal is obtained through a quest given by Jark in the mines of Kaladim...just hail him and then say "some" quest is very easy)

6.) Tainted Shield -
[ ] Drops off of Kirak Vil in Nektulos Forest. Have heard 3 groups of melee and someone to disease can take this guy.
[ ] This shield goes to Elia the Pure in Felwithe in return she gives you the Gleaming Crested Shield.

Kill the Shin Lord? The Shin Lord is a paladin. Bad Bad Bad. Can I repeat -- BAD.

Better is to do the Ghoulbane quest. That is the paladin's way of obtaining Ghoulbane. Killing the Shin Lord is the Shadowknight's way. I know. I am, after all, a paladin, and will not kill a fellow paladin, unless they have turned from the light. But that is rare.

Go to Ryshon Hunsti in West Karanas. He is by the water, not far from the NK zoneline. Hail him, reply to each of his tells, and receive a note.

Go to Butcherblock, give the note to Kathunk Ogrebane. He is by the water, not far from the MM gnome. Reply to each of his tells and get a pendant.

Go to Dagnors Cauldron. Find Llara. She is standing on a rock, somewhat above and to the east of Unrest. Give her the pendant. When she asks where you got it, reply "Kanthuk gave it to me." Follow the storyline, replying as needed, and get a note.

Go to Lavastorm. Not to far from the ent, find Ruathey. Give her the note, reply twice, and get a bag.

Now, you need to get 4 items to put into bag.

1) Butcherblock Mountains -- The Crazed Goblin camp (3 goblins). 20 minute spawn time. The Blade of Nobility is the drop you seek. Uncommon drop, but patience, you will get it.

2) Unrest -- Crazed Goblins. There are many crazed goblins on 2nd floor of Unrest. Ghouls Heart is what you are after. Uncommon drop, but can be done within a day.

3) High Pass Keep. The basement. Again, Crazed Goblins -- looking for Amstaf's Scroll. (note -- this has dropped off of regular goblins lately)

4) Najena. You need to go to the room at +125 +100. There is a skeleton there that can drop the Hilt. Another skeleton is in a room at +250 +100. A third skeleton is located in a room at +200 -100. Note, these are locations that indicate which rooms. The skeletons are somewhere in each room. Nobleman's Hilt is the loot.

Combine the blade, scroll, heart and hilt in the bag Ruathey gave you. VOILA, GHOULBANE!

And you did not have to kill any Paladins to get it. Nice, eh?

Oh, one more thing. You can no longer do the turn-in in Neriak. The guards will kill you sure, and you will end up with corpses to the yin-yang. Better to take the two books, 1K plat, and so see -- Rineval Talyas. Look for her in North Qeynos. She is usually not indoors, so you do not need to go into any buildings to find her. Normally she is east of the Qeynos gate, by some cart near the wall.

Note: You can multiquest this. Just make sure that you, the paladin that wants the Book of Scale, turn in the 1K plat LAST!
