Casual Play - The Sk Epic - Ferrott

Well, I read up on the first part of the quest in allas and thought, hmm.

Kill 2 mobs and loot 6 items that can't be so bad.

Wrong ...

Lets just say that the first part of the Sk quest is to craft Darkforge Breastplate, Greaves and Helm.

There are several components you need to craft items

Darkforge Helm - Decayed Helm, Decayed Visor, and 2 Damaged Militia Helmets

Darkforge Greaves - Decayed Left legplate - decayed Right Legplate and 2 bars of Melatite

Darkforge Helmet - Decayed Chainmail, Decayed Breastplate, 2 Enchanted Platinum Pieces.

I decided to camp Ferrot first. There is an island in ferrott in the shape of a triangle in front of the zone entrance to Cazic-Thule. The whole island spawns and has the potential to spawn the "a Tae Ew crusader" . This mob can contain any of the No-Drop decayed items. Being a DE After a little experimentation i found that I could kill certain FS weapon bearing mobs and then aggrod the entire island and run to Ogguk. When the mobs got close to Ogguk I zoned or FD'd. The mobs would aggro the guards and the guards would kill all the mobs and the chance to have a crusader spawn increased. The second mob, "a Tae Ew Spiritualist", spawn at the tip of the island (top of the triangle). This guy is a pain, he has several placeholders and the spawn time is 12 minutes.

After some experimentation, I found it best to Kill the spiritualist, The pull the Crusaders (If any) from the spawn points and then aggro entire island and let the guards kill them. (I also have about 150 small bricks of HQ steel from melting down FS weapons)

After 4 days of camping, I finally got the last decayed item.

Went back to POK and camped Sk to log in chanter. Bought and enchanted 2 Platinum bars and placed in shared banked and logged back into SK got plat bars out of bank.

Next zone was Freeport. I went invis in and starting whacking green gaurds. After 7 Kills I had the 2 Damaged Milita Helms.

Afterwards I was KOS to Ffreeport so i ran like heck to Lavastorm I went via Nektlos Forest.

My next Zone was SolA. I went to the gnome side (please use eqatlas to get towards the gnomes) www.eqatlas.com/solusekseyemap.html.

The melatite drops from the CWG Models in SolA. SO after becoming Completely KOS there I had my 2 bars

The next zone was the Temple of Solusek Ro. The location of the undead knights is around +400, +80, -30. The easiest way to get there is to enter the zone. Get to the main room. Go over the lava river, gthrough the doors flanked by the 2 red robed mobs and go left up the stairs. Go through 3 doors and there you are.

There are 2 undead knights there IMPORTANT - 2 undeads knights each does different items.

Hail the undead knight say "I seek darkforge armor".

1 undead knight does the greaves and the other knight does BP and Helm. Please ensure that you are talking to the correct knight or he will eat some of you components. (lost - 1 Enchanted bar of Platinum)

there you go after hand ins you will have Darkforge, BP, Greaves and Helm.

Next ... Ruinarm begs for help in Killing small epic mob in Overthere.

I was checking all my mobs for my epics when when bang Kurron Ni was up in Overthere. Wheew, it only took 19 days.

Sent out an /ooc and asked for help in guild Luckily a 67 rogue named Telen and Browkin answered my plea.

So we all got there and I forgot to look at my notes for turn in. (To tell the truth I was spastic that the mob was up) So I did turn in of armor and was wondering why he didn't attack me. Looked at my notes and the greedy bugger wanted 900pp! So I go to the bank to get 900pp and go back and I accidentally hit attack and start whacking him.

Sigh, Luckily I zoned and we were able to try again. Brought in Brothers Shammy and we went at him again. Its kind of funny, this mob was built up a lot. With a 55 SK, 68SK and 67 Rogue we took care of him. My brother's 67 Shammy just cast some dots but I think we could have got him without help.

After killing Kurron Ni (Thanks Browkin and Telen) I looted the Letter to Duriek.

I then went to Paineel and talked Duriek Bloodpool. He is at location 905, -100 in the battlement overlooking Paineel newbie area. I turned in the Letter to Duriek.

Head to Neriak Foreign Quarter. Find Smaka. I used the find button and was led straight to Smaka. She is inside the building labled Bites N Pieces at location -335, -105.

You say, 'Hail Smaka'

Smaka says 'You want stuff? Or mebby you looks for a cure?

You say, 'I need a bottle of cough elixir'

Smaka says 'Ahh, you want me cure?! It cost lots of money, big big secret it is. Only us ogres know how to make. You wants? Only 1000 platinum! Make you feels bedder in no times! (another Greedy bassard)

Hand 1000 platinum to Smaka.

Smaka says 'Okay, enjoy me drink!

Head back to Paineel. Hand the Cough Elixir to Duriek.

Duriek Bloodpool says 'Thank you. Now, quickly, there is not much time for me. What I tell you here now must never be shared with another soul. I have spent the better part of my life piecing together clues for the creation of a legendary dark blade, a corrupted Ghoulbane. I am very close to understanding the method used in manipulating the enchantments of the Ghoulbane, but in my current condition, I cannot finish collecting the research. My previous apprentice was searching for this last clue when he met his untimely demise.

At this point I was patting myself for getting faction to get key to hole. Went into Paineel and talked to Vendor Rallia Hapera. She is inside "Superior Supplies" at Location 938, 761. key cost me 100pp.

Now - Any one up for a Hole group. There is a ratman guard with a Dusty Tome I need to whack.

Well, My daughter was sick yesterday, so after Ruinchant (you can read the advetures of ruin on the other thread) got his epic piece, I asked Benalek if I bring in my Sk and he said sure.

After logging in I figured, Ok I'm a decent twink, maybe I can hold my own.

WRONG!

Dang those guys hit hard and some resis life tap. Thank Innourok for FD. I used that more than a couple of times.

Hate was good experience and the ashenbone dragons are frequent spawns. The drop Decrepit Hide isn't a frequent drop, however, it did drop after 20 minutes. Lol, 3 kills. Somehow I felt lucky.

Benalek, Conjured up talisman of return and there I was in POK with a new acquired Epic Item.
